Eric Hsienchen Chu is a sophomore pursuing Economics, Statistics, and Mathematics at UW–Madison. He serves as Editor-in-Chief at Equilibrium: The Undergraduate Journal of Economics and a student representative of the Economics Inclusion Board, promoting inclusion and engagement within the department. 

Eric’s primary research interests are Microeconomic Theory, focusing on search/monitoring mechanisms, and Labor Economics, with an emphasis on education. He studies how the hierarchical characteristics of university and Ph.D. programs shape individual job placement outcomes in the dual search process and within peer and organizational networks. Eric currently works as an undergraduate research assistant on the CALL/ECL project.
