Chris Saldaña

Dr. Christopher Saldaña is an assistant professor and Anna Julia Cooper fellow in the department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research examines the relationship between K–12 school finance policy, practice, and politics and educational opportunity, with a particular focus on the educational opportunity of historically marginalized students. He holds a B.A. and an M.A. in economics from the University of California, San Diego and California State University, Fullerton, respectively, and a Ph.D. in Educational Foundations, Policy, and Practice from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

As co-principal investigator, Saldaña co-leads the Exploratory study E (CALL-MEI), discussing design and proposing a study to measure the impact of equity-centered leadership in schools.
